Humane Wildlife Control

The best possible practice to avoid wildlife conflict is through prevention and exclusion. If a situation cannot be resolved or waited out, ensure any wildlife control company contracted has a demonstrated practice of using approved humane methods.

  • Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is a process that uses all necessary techniques to suppress pests effectively, economically, and in an environmentally sound manner.

  • Relocation is ineffective, inhumane, and illegal in Ontario beyond 1km. While relocating an animal might get rid of that individual, another animal will simply move into the vacated territory.

  • If the point of entry isn’t addressed, more animals will find the same spot desirable.

  • Poison and glue traps are indiscriminate and inhumane methods of pest control.
